Zombie apocalypse in the 13th century. In putting together some ideas for the soundtrack, Director Nick Lines really liked the aggressive feel of dubstep – something that was out-of-step with the timeline but instep with the frenzy of zombie invasion.
I was thinking a lot about character and was drawn to the idea of Black Sabbath’s War Pigs (after seeing this video esp. 6:40-7:00) because of blind puppet priests and young knighted representatives of the crown killing the lowly and afflicted. Makes sense, yeah?
