A woman becomes trapped within an increasingly unstable digital reality where hidden information slowly reveals a terrifying truth.
Synopsis
MORA is a viral body-horror short film written and directed by Sam Evenson. The film follows a struggling artist who becomes obsessed with a mysterious gaunt woman named Mora who repeatedly appears within disturbing AI-generated gore images circulating on the dark web. Hoping to isolate her presence and gain recognition in the rapidly evolving AI art world, he begins incorporating her into his own prompts, only to unleash terrifying and increasingly visceral consequences. Blending found-footage aesthetics, body horror, artificial intelligence imagery, and internet folklore, MORA explores ethical questions surrounding AI-generated art, exploitation, digital obsession, and the commodification of suffering.
